((For those who can't guess, the next character to enter will be our new Medical Chief, whoever that may turn out to be.))
~~Georga~~ Stevens, one of Georga's new workmates, bounced on his heels beside her and whistled slightly. She shot a glare at him - they were supposed to look dignified for the new doctor coming aboard, not like bored children. Georga sighed. If only the doctor was not taking so long! Not only had the ship come through the jumpgate late, but in Babylon 5's current under-staffed position, it was going to take a very long time for this doctor to dock. So much for a place of peace, she thought, looking around the almost entirely empty bay. To have "peace between the races", it helped to have more than one race there in the first place. So far, they were still waiting on their Medical Chief and resident telepath as far as major staff went, and none of the ambassadors had arrived yet. The first was still not due for several days. Apart from that, they still had so many positions to fill in their staff lists. Dock workers, medical staff, security staff, command staff... even more engineers were needed, as most only stayed untill Babylon 5 went online. The station was at almost a complete standstill for need of more workers. It was the quiet. That was what was driving Georga mad - the utter quiet. Nothing happened. She hadn't accepted this position just to twiddle her thumbs. Stevens' incessant whistling wasn't helping, either. She was just about to snap at him to shut up when someone came through the gateway.

~Matthews~
Dr. Adam Matthews walked onto Babylon 5 for the first time. The first things he noticed were the signs. All over the place, in many different languages. Well, his fear that there would be accidents by people taking wrong turns was obviously misplaced.
The second thing he saw was the Lieutenant. She seemed to be waiting for him, something wish disappointed him. "Lieutenant?" he asked, wondering what the problem was.

(( And the security officer standing beside her?))
~~Georga~~ "Ah!" she said, then quickly glanced at the hand-outs about the good doctor. "Welcome aboard, Dr. Matthews!" She looked at the new doctor. Looked up at him, to be precise. This guy was tall. He had brown hair and green eyes, and his skin was slightly tanned. He was meticulously dressed, with not a thread out of his place, and his hair was just as precise. At least pickyness is a good thing in a doctor, thought Georga. "If you wanted to come with us, we were going to show you the Medlab, then direct you to your quarters," she said.

(( And the security officer standing beside her?)) ((Ignored. Adam ignores Security whenever possible.)) ~Matthews~ "Shore thing," Adam responded. He was pretty tired and didn't really feel like seeing Medlab but he supposed that he should know where it is.

((Could you please jog my memory as to what sector normal quarters are in? ))
~~Georga~~ Georga turned and led the way into green sector. Before long, they had arrived. "This is Medlab. As you can see, it hasn't been used yet. With any luck, you won't be getting patients any time soon. If you did, we'd have cause to be very worried, being on skeleton staff as we are."

((Seeing as Matthews is EarthForce senior staff, blue sector for him. Normal crewmembers and civilians who can afford it are in red sector.)) "That's brilliant. You'd think Medical staff would get here first," Matthews complained.

~~Georga~~ Stevens chose that moment to step in. "Then you obviously don't know how a station runs. Engineers have to be the first here to build the darn thing," he said, then turned to Georga. "Now if you don't mind, I think I can show the nice doctor his quarters. You however, have been clocked in for the last 12 hours." Georga glared at him. "You're Security Chief, not Medical Chief." "And tired staff are a Security risk. Or a safety one, at least," he retorted. Frowning, Georga went and clocked out her shift. Quite abrupt of Stevens, butting in like that. But he did have a point, and unlike her, he needed to be there when Matthews got his new quarters.
~~Gary~~ "Right this way," he said to the doctor, gesturing out the door. He'd been ordered to take Micheals off shift - gently. She was a known over-worker. Gary, however, saw no need for gently. But she did have to hang around to greet the doc for a while at least. His footsteps rang in the eerie quiet as they made their way back to blue sector. When they got into the elevator, he asked, "So what made you decide to come here?"

"I was assigned, believe it or not. I didn't actually choose to come here. You'd think that the post would be popular, but I've heard that most doctors are turning it down because they 'don't want to risk harm with unfamiliar biological processes'. Sound like an excuse if you ask me. They probably just don' wan' to deal with aliens. I really couldn' care less," Matthews' Texan accent was starting to drip. I really am tired.
(Sorry for missing this, I didn't see the blue tab.)

((That's fine, really.))
~~Gary~~ Gary looked sidelong at the doctor. "What about all those xenobiologists? Surely they'd be scrambling for the job."

You mean those who work in 'exchange' programs and examine each other? That's a joke. Give it a few years and we may see some legit'mat' one', but righ' now, there's nothin'."

~~Gary~~ Gary shrugged as the elevator stopped. They got out and Gary walked down the hall untill he reached the doctor's assinged quarters. "These are you quarters," he said, then handed over the doc's access card. "You'll need this to get in. Enjoy your stay. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to head back up and stare at security monitors." With that, Gary headed back to Security.

(Morning, playing as some random ensign)
The ensign peered at her board and was slightly surprised. "Captain," she stammered, "Jump gate activating."
((OOC: That's Kosh's early arrival))

~~Sammy~~ "Don't just tell me there is something coming! Tell me what it is!" Sammy snapped, then activated his comlink. "C&C to Leiutenant Micheals." "Leiutenant Micheals here, what is it?" "We have an unauthorised ship coming through the jump gate," Sammy said. He hated to bug her, but she needed to know. "I'll be right on my way, sir. Micheals out." "No, you won't," said Sammy. "I'll keep you posted, Micheals, but unless and untill I need you, this is your off shift." With that, he deactivated his comlink. "Well, Ensign? Have you got an identification?"

"Sorry, sir." she replied. "Sensors indicate... Vorlon ship. It's requesting clearance to dock."

~~Sammy~~ "Dammit, the Vorlons weren't meant to arrive for three weeks yet!" Sammy said. "C&C to Leiutenant Micheals." "Micheals here. That was quick. What happened?" "We've got the Vorlon ambassador." "But he isn't due for three weeks!" Micheals said, shocked. "Exactly," said Sammy gravely. "Get down to docking bay 8, I need you there." "So much for an off shift," she said with some amusement. "Micheals out." "Ensign, please kindly direct the ambassador to docking bay 8."

"Confirmed," she announced. "Ambassador, you are cleared for Docking Bay 8. Transmitting instructions to you now."
~Kosh~
Kosh ignored most of the transmission. He let the ship fly itself to "Docking Bay Eight".

~~Georga~~ Georga stood waiting outside docking bay 8. As she suppressed a yawn, she thought, Maybe Stevens was right about me going off duty... Georga had never seen a Vorlon before, and was a bit nervous at starting now. She didn't know how she should greet him, knowing none of the Vorlon customs. And Georga just hoped the whole thing didn't go to hell in a handbasket.

~Kosh~
Kosh's ship arrived at Docking Bay 8. Pulling his "behind the greeter" trick to add to his mystique, one he knew he'd do almost every time, he snuck around and "breathed" loudly behind the human. (haaaal)

((Cheeky))
~~Georga~~ Georga started, but managed to turn without to much haste. Behind her stood the ambassador. Keeping her voice as level as she could, although it still shook some, she said, "Welcome to Babylon 5, Ambassador. If you'll allow me to show you to your quarters?"

Kosh pretended to think. "Yessssss" he replied. At the same time, he activated random lights on the front of his suit.
